109-Year-Old Woman Says Secret To A Long Life Is Avoiding Men

Since the beginning of time, people have always wanted to know the secret to living a long life. Death is inevitable but you should at least try your hardest to stay alive for as long as possible. But what should you do in order to avoid dying? Well, according to Scotland’s oldest woman you should eat porridge every day and avoid men.

Jessie Gallan was the oldest woman in Scotland until she died at the age of 109. But before she passed away, she shared her secrets to her long life. Every morning, Gallan enjoys a nice, warm, bowl of oatmeal. She also does her daily exercises and hangs out with her friends.

However one surprising thing about her is that she has never been married. The adorable centenarian revealed her secrets in an interview with The Daily Mail.’My secret to a long life has been staying away from men. They’re just more trouble than they’re worth,’ she said. ‘I also made sure that I got plenty of exercise, eat a nice warm bowl of porridge every morning and have never gotten married.’

Instead of hanging with the guys, she suggests you fill every day with things that you enjoy in life: friends, family, and more. And considering that she lived until 109 years old, she must know what she’s talking about.

  1. Whoo! Only just got around to seeing this (thank you only one IMAX screen in SF) and now I can’t decide whether I want to go watch V for Vendetta or The Scarlet Pi.p.rnel.em.

  2. I remember reading this when I was quite young, and a big fan of the movie (isn't everyone?) and being really disappointed. Probably my first experience of how different books and movies can be. But…in most cases the books are better. In this case, the book is just so different — really has a different "tone."Funny that Wicked the book and Wicked the musical are kind of the same thing — very different in tone and feeling. Thanks for reminding me of the experience!

  3. 29 juin 2012Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  4. Totally agree with this review. I got to ride all three programs, and thought the wolf was by the far best. Rating aside, younger kids like my daughter seem to LOVE this ride. Keeping in mind there aren't many 48" height requirement launchers, this ride sticks out for that reason as well, and is another great reason to go BGW.
